Dialysis Department
The Hemodialysis Department of Mehr Hospital began its activities in 1971 with the presence of renowned professors in the field of kidney diseases and dialysis, providing hemodialysis and, in special cases, peritoneal dialysis services. With the advancement of the hospital, this medical field has continued to develop and remain up-to-date.
Currently, this department operates in a completely suitable environment approved by authorities and especially appreciated by patients. It provides services in three shifts with more than 10 qualified staff members, as well as three internal medicine specialists with subspecialty expertise in nephrology and dialysis, who are available throughout each patient's dialysis session. Hospitalized and emergency patients can also benefit from all these services when necessary.
Eight hemodialysis machines, among the latest models imported into the country, are currently serving more than 40 patients in three shifts according to the highest standards and with advanced supporting equipment.
In addition, a dedicated hemodialysis machine is assigned for immobile patients and hospitalized patients in CCU1, CCU2, and ICU departments, allowing dialysis to be performed in the patient's own unit when required. Another separate machine located away from the dialysis department is used for antigen-positive patients.
The Hemodialysis Department of Mehr Hospital, benefiting from the full support and cooperation of the hospital's executive management, is honored by the presence of the distinguished professor Dr. Ali Nobakht Haghighi, who provides special attention to patients with specific medical needs in this field.
Currently, the Hemodialysis Department of Mehr Hospital is managed at the highest level under the leadership of Dr. Firouz Fasihi, with the cooperation of Dr. Majid Salamaty and head nurse Ms. Shahraji, providing excellent care and services to patients.
