NICU Special Care Unit
The NICU is located adjacent to the maternity ward and the women's surgery department. With an experienced and specially trained team, it is prepared to admit premature infants or critically ill newborns with respiratory problems, as well as newborns requiring hospital care for various medical conditions up to one month after birth.
Newborns delivered at this center who require transfer to the special care unit are transferred to the NICU using a mobile incubator, portable pulse oximetry, and oxygen support under physician supervision. All necessary medical interventions are immediately performed by a neonatologist.
A pediatric specialist and NICU-specialized nurses are present in the unit 24 hours a day.
This unit is directly supervised by a neonatology subspecialist.
The unit covers an area of approximately 160 square meters and has been designed with a beautiful and relaxing environment.
The NICU is equipped with the most advanced medical and therapeutic equipment, including advanced mechanical ventilators, monitoring systems, conventional and intensive phototherapy devices, specialized medication nebulizers, ventilator nebulizers, surfactant therapy, Curosurf, and other advanced facilities.
To prevent common neonatal infections, all newborn equipment and connections are provided as disposable items.
It is worth mentioning that in all high-risk deliveries, the neonatology subspecialist is present in the delivery room and operating room.
To facilitate parents' presence beside their newborn, a 24-hour mother accommodation room equipped with all necessary welfare and hospitality facilities has been provided adjacent to the NICU.
