The Department of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy of Mehr Hospital with over 20 years of work experience and with the presence of gastroenterologists and the best modern medical equipment is ready to provide diagnostic services to respectable clients.
Endoscopy services are provided for inpatients and outpatients as soon as possible with the highest quality.
According to the on-call gastroenterologist viewpoint, emergency patients are giving priority to various endoscopies in the first 24 hours.
The services provided in the endoscopy department include:
· Diagnostic upper GI endoscopy
· Therapeutic upper GI endoscopy including hemorrhage control; polypectomy and mucosectomy; esophageal varices banding; stenosis dilatation; and stent insertion
· Lower GI endoscopy and diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy including polypectomy and mucosectomy; stenosis dilation; stent insertion; and hemorrhage control
· Upper GI endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) including staging of esophagus and stomach tumors; detection of submucosal lesions nature; staging of pancreatic, biliary tract, gallbladder, and peritoneal tumors; diagnosis of biliary tract stones and gallbladder sludge
· Lower GI diagnostic endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) including staging of rectal and sigmoid tumors; detection of submucosal lesions nature; examination of fistula and perianal abscess
· Therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) including FNA and sampling of tumors of pancreas, biliary tract, and posterior peritoneum and mucosal lesions; celiac block; drainage of pancreatic pseudocysts
· Diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP including the excision of biliary tract stones, stent insertion in case of biliary obstruction in pancreas and biliary tract malignant tumors, dilatation and insertion of stents in benign stenosis, stent insertion in bile leakage after gallbladder surgery, and stent insertion and stone removal from the pancreatic duct
· Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG)
· Slimming balloon insertion
